From the Colophon: "The author has deleted certain sections of books I and II and rewritten others as well as correcting some typographical errors that appeared in the first edition for this second edition of 1977 which was published with the assistance of The Canada Council and the Ontario Arts Council. First printed in the spring of 1972 in an edition of 1000 copies. This sixth printing in an edition of 500 copies has been done in February 2003 by the printers at the Coach House, on bpNichol Lane, Toronto."
